A industrial fan manufacturing company located in Kolkata, West Bengal are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. They will review services and goods, record data, and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses.
- Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate based on the associated expenses.
- Conduct regular cost audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of cost data.
- Analyze and report on cost variances and trends.
- Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement cost accounting procedures and systems.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning.
- Provide support during financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and production costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
