A Indian school in Doha, Qatar following CBSE curriculum is on the lookout for an art & craft teacher, who will play a vital role in fostering creativity, artistic expression, and technical skills among students. Your passion for both art and craft contributes to a well-rounded learning experience. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Responsibilities:
**Curriculum Development:**
- Plan, develop, and implement an engaging art and craft curriculum that aligns with learning goals.
- Introduce students to various artistic techniques, including painting, sketching, designing, sculpture, photography, and multimedia.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through hands-on art and craft projects.
**Materials Management:**
- Select appropriate art and craft materials, books, and resources.
- Maintain an inventory of art supplies and ensure they are readily available for student use.
**Instruction and Demonstration:**
- Deliver engaging lessons on various art and craft activities.
- Provide demonstrations to teach students practical skills in drawing, coloring, painting, and other techniques.
- Discuss different artistic approaches, traditions, and styles.
**Student Engagement:**
- Create a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages students to explore and engage with art.
- Accompany students on field trips to museums or art galleries to enhance their understanding of art history and culture.
**Assessment and Progress Tracking:**
- Assign art and craft projects, grade finished work, and maintain records of student progress.
- Conduct art exams and evaluate student performance.
- Organize art exhibitions to showcase students’ creations and help them build their portfolios.
**Collaboration and Communication:**
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to enhance art programs.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in parent-teacher discussions.
Educational Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Arts or Fine Arts.
- At least 5 years of experience teaching art and craft in a CBSE curriculum setting.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and styles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathetic skills.
- Passion for nurturing creativity and artistic development in students.
- Ready to relocate to Doha, Qatar after selection.
Salary & Perks:
- Qar 3200 ( INR approx 73,000) per month tax free in hand
