AV Technician

We are looking for a skilled and experienced AV technician to join our team and provide technical support for various events and productions. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment, such as cameras, microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, and lighting systems. You will also collaborate with event coordinators, clients, and other technicians to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality audio-visual services.

To be successful as an AV technician, you should have a strong knowledge of audio-visual technology and industry standards, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. You should also be able to work independently or as part of a team, handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and adapt to changing situations and environments. Additionally, you should be physically fit and able to lift and transport heavy equipment.

AV Technician Responsibilities:

  • Repairing technical issues and identifying and resolving malfunctions immediately.
  • Running diagnostic tests before actual use.
  • Assembling system components and installing and arranging equipment on their proper positions.
  • Instructing clients on how to operate the systems.
  • Ensuring the safety of the equipment.
  • Setting up and installing media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras.
  • Setting up additional support AV tools like equipment racks.
  • Completing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction.
  • Assembling microphones, mix sound boards, coordinate graphics, operate spotlights, manage video recordings, and provide technical support for corporate events.
  • Setting up, operating, maintaining, and repairing sound and video equipment for use in live events

AV Technician Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certificate in audio-visual technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Should a Valid QID
  • At least two years of experience as an AV technician or a similar role in the audio-visual industry.
  • Proficient in using various audio-visual equipment and software, such as cameras, microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, lighting systems, sound boards, video editors, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of audio-visual best practices and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.

AV Technician Salary & Benefits:

  • 3500-4500 QAR
